About

The Team

Mission control.

LimbPower is managed by a small but dedicated team of enthusiastic, passionate and hardworking office staff, who are supported by an equally enthusiastic Board of Trustees, and an incredible group of volunteers.

Kiera Roche - Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Kiera leads LimbPower, shaping its strategic vision alongside the Board of Trustees and partners. With 20 years’ experience as an above-the-knee amputee, she bridges gaps in engagement and communication. Kiera manages partnerships, campaigns, and fundraising, always seeking to enhance services for amputees and individuals with limb differences. Her passion lies in supporting the community through advocacy, events, and resources.

Carly Bauert - Children and Family Outreach Officer

Carly Bauert, is LimbPower’s Children and Family Outreach Officer, working with children, teens and adults going through an amputation or born with limb difference. As a mother of a prosthetic-wearing teenager, she empathises with families. Carly manages the Outreach Programme and the #ICan Camps, and guides families toward support.

David Hayton-Hill - Physical Activity and Sports Development Officer

David’s journey has been one of resilience and determination. Born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, he faced challenges throughout his life. In 2008, he made the difficult decision to amputate his right leg due to joint complications. Despite setbacks, David embraced sports. Swimming alongside Paralympic champions, he became a national junior swimming champion. Post-amputation, wheelchair rugby helped him regain health. David’s advice? “Challenge the challenge.” Find solutions, stay active, and never limit yourself. And remember, even a kick-around can be exhilarating!

Conor Balard - Junior Physical Activity and Sports Development Officer

As a congenital amputee, I discovered my passion for sports at an early age. Attending the LimbPower Junior Games was pivotal—it connected me with other children like me and opened doors to various sports. The learn-to-run workshops were transformative, propelling me into triathlon. While emotional support was limited, I believe a mentoring program could bridge that gap. Now, at 22, I’m a former national para swimmer, proud of my achievements and the competitive spirit that drives me.

Emma Newman - Exercise Development Officer & Community Fundraiser

Emma manages the reVAMP Programme, and the online fitness classes and is LimbPower's Community Fundraiser. Emma's passion is supporting you in activity through our fun challenge programme and entry-level exercise. Emma has lived experience of the impact on a family when a child has a disability and life-limiting condition. Emma is married to an ex-serviceman and bridges the gap between the civilian and military population.
